Shoutout to Gun-Bun, currently Sonoma’s largest organic vineyard owner (264 acres), and proudly certified Regenerative Organic (ROC) in 2023. They make around 40,000 cases of wine a year.
In ROC world, Gun-Bun achieved certified bronze for Rhinefarm and silver for Rancho Aqua Caliente (Abbot’s Passage) and in 2024 was working on a phasing out tillage and hoping to achieve silver for Rhinefarm and gold for Aqua Caliente.
(About a quarter of the grapes are purchased from local growers, so look for the estate wines for the organic goods.)
