2 Million Page Views...and Counting! Organic Wines Uncorked Blog Reaches Major Milestone

It's gratifying to say the least.

The Mothership of my writing about organically grown wines over the past 14 - yes, 14, count-em - has just passed the huge milestone of 2 million page views.

In total, there are 1,500 posts on that blog.

This little fledgling offshoot, Organic Wines Uncorked on substack, is up to 224 subscribers in six months (with seven of you paying, thank you VERY much) and thousands of page views…

Here is how the blog traffic grew over 14 years.

I think the increase around 2022 is when more producers got certified organic.

And 2026 - did the blog benefit from AI? Maybe, but the top 20 posts are pretty diverse in terms of subject matter–representing a real cross section of interests. Anyway, I think as a slice of online life, it’s interesting to see what made the list.

Curiously I do not recall anyone ever asking me about the tagline – The Delicious Revolution Shall Be Vinified – which is, of course, related to Alice Waters’ Chez Panisse motto, which is also about eating as an agricultural act. Would that more of us felt that way about drinking. And perhaps they will one day.

I got frustrated with blogspot.com after it would not include photos or charts during this past year, and so those missing photos and graphics ARE available in the Substack version. So I have stopped cross posting some articles on the blog. Everything fresh is here on substack, including the visual elements, so please consider subscribing here.
